Arjun Bhargava
Arjun Bhargava is a climate change consultant with the UN Global Compact. He works on communications to accelerate net-zero global campaigns and on issues such as adaptation and just transition to drive corporate ambition supporting UN goals and issues. He worked with public sector clients at Deloitte India as a senior consultant, prior to which, he co-led the planned urbanization pillar for Chennai city’s resilience strategy and managed government relations for Resilient Chennai, a member city of The Rockefeller Foundation's 100 Resilient Cities network.
He has also supported inter-governmental affairs and interagency policy coordination with UNEP at the United Nations and researched adaptation efforts in urban and periurban areas at the Indo-German Centre for Sustainability, IIT Madras. Arjun holds a Master of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the annual Award for Excellence in Environmental Studies. He has spoken at two conferences organised by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency at the White House on climate change. Arjun is also a published biologist.
